I maintain a Facebook account only so that I can see the pictures and keep up with the doings of friends and families who are scattered across the country. I do notice an inverse relationship between the importance of that person and the amount of stuff they post to Facebook.

Some of my close relatives will occasionally post a few tasteful photos of a vacation or family function. Other distant relatives I barely know will post all day long about what they are doing or feeling including photos of what they are having for lunch for dinner.

I'm talking to you, second cousin Ed from Iowa, I am not impressed that you went to Papa John's in Cedar Rapids over the weekend.

And anyone who has ever gotten one of those knows exactly what you mean...a Christmas letter full of pictures taken all year long without identifying anyone... Big thrill!
