Special Holy Days can be translated to a solar calendar annually as needed. Solar calendars are a social efficiency though I recognize that changing horses midstream is not without issues.

Not sure the Sovereign would be called a ‘lunatic’ since He gave us the sun, moon and stars for signs, and appointed times and days and years (Genesis 1:14)
I like this verse as it helped me understand what a ‘Day of the New Moon’ was:
Ezekiel 46:1
This is what the Sovereign LORD says: The gate of the inner court facing east is to be shut on the six working days, but on the Sabbath day and on the DAY OF THE NEW MOON it is to be opened.
Those words come from the Creator.
And it doesn’t mean much unless one understands why Israel was commanded to do this-
The quick answer is The Son.
That Revelation 12 sign, with the woman, and the sun, and that ‘moon under her feet’ happened the last three 3 years, in part, in the sky above our heads-especially the ‘moon under her feet’ part.
The last three years those were ‘Day of the New Moon’ or the 1st Day of His 7th/8th/7th month respectively, on the Father’s calendar.
But the world tends to go with Rome..
And religion tended to swing and miss because of it.
