We have now learned that the Manchester Islamic Terrorist not only attended known Radical Mosques in the UK, not only went to Libya and Syria for training, was not only known by people in his local community as pro-ISIS, but also that he had know links to terror supporters, With all this knowledge (much of it was known even before the attack), what was the first reaction of the European Union? To discuss laws that would encourage Facebook and Social media sited to report Islamophobic content and “right wing” comments.
The European Union wants to be the arbiter of all power and process in the European Union, but with that comes greater responsibility. A government’s first duty is the protection of its citizens, and when they fail in that duty, they have failed as a government and need to step down. Parliamentary democracies work because they have (usually) one party in power and an opposition government who is effectively a government in waiting in case the existing one falls. In the EU, there is no “other government in waiting”. Only the Commission. And they have failed us.
They have allowed the unchecked migration of millions of people, mostly Muslim males from Africa and the Middle East. No one is really checking their backgrounds or their status. In fact, latest figures suggest that only 2.65% of the people entering Europe are Syrian refugees.

I just laugh now. I sit on my porch on a knob on 32 acres, looking at the field and the trees, and wonder when the cities are gonna melt down.
And some of those city folk are gonna survive the long trek all the way to my house and I’m a gonna have to use this Mossberg on my lap for something other than foxes.
We just need to be strong and vocal to ensure that does not happen to us and our children.
Need any field hands? Will work/fight/defend for food and shelter (laughing, to keep from crying).
It wont be those city folk you see first. Once chaos turns into marshall law (or it’s equivalent emergency powers whereby constitutional law is suspended), the hording of property and natural resources that can be used for the sake of urban refugees will be borrowed, and those local law enforcement who don’t cooperation with the efforts to administer redistribution of resources will be the first to go. Then either the cooperative locals or the regional resource agents will be the ones who visit, and resistance of the type you speak will be exactly what they are expecting.
Just sayin
America is being placed under a severe test.
Will it actually bow the knee to Christ once more, as it used to (”No King but Jesus!”) or will it try to prevail with the mere arm of flesh?
Islam is, as I have gotten red in the face as in the neck telling everybody, SPIRITUAL! SPIRITUAL! SPIRITUAL!
Demons laugh at guns. When they have willing suicide bombers, a gross distortion of the sacrifices of Christians but nonetheless quite effective for evil, why do they care about your guns?
Demons shrink in dread at gospel, however.
Mr. Mercat and I are moving to our little farm in a few weeks. In fact we are moving stuff out there now and getting ready to sell our 5 bedroom/3 bath home in the suburbs. Our new house is about half that size. Feels good. Excuse to get rid of lots of stuff.
We’re watching Islam WITH ITS EMPOWERING SPIRITS fill a vacuum here. A Christianity that has been dumbed down to fill secular conservatism’s agenda as priority numero uno is not going to have any power against Islam.
You might call ole RedNeck here crazy or even screaming liberal at times, but at the end you’re gonna say, you were told so.
A Mohammedenized European population will rapidly enter onto famine if it is circumscribed by the remaining civilized nations, perhaps, who knows, even by America, and cannot raid that civilization any longer for booty and food.
A Moslem society can produce sufficient food only for a relatively sparse population. The rapid growth of Moslem populations in the modern day is reliant on the gifts from and extortion of the wealthy parts of the world that substitute for the constant raiding of civilization by Moslems in the past when Christendom still existed and knew that it was constantly threatened by malevolent Islam.
I get that. My post was more a joke than anything else.
I often say that the scariest scene I’ve ever seen in a movie as it could, in a way, relate to me, is the first 20 or so minutes of Inglorious Basterds.
The good news is that I am one of MANY out here.

Our biggest challenge is that there is a fox feasting on our chickens. But I’m building a nice concrete based fence for our 48x16 chicken run so it should be good with the next batch of chicks.
And here’s what makes that point of view so hard to swallow for a lot of folks who frequent FR:
One side of the gospel looks downright LIBERAL.
Now it doesn’t call for governments to go to huge impossible lengths to try to establish utopias. But it doesn’t exactly shy away from “defend the cause of the orphan and the widow” either.
And in this age of government uber alles, the work of the church has become quite flaccid. A false idol has been raised. The people of God have gotten etiolated. The work of the church is the thing that people know by intuition needs to exist in order to buoy our existence in this world out of hell. Where is it? Secular liberalism attempts to fill the vacuum, but it cannot do so and the results of its trying are tragic.
Can we show the world the heart of God again somehow, and thus put the tawdry imitations raised by secular liberals to shame?
Eventually the Acme company manages to give Wile E. Coyote something that works....
The Lord has gradually gotten my attention as to my own wrong attitude by using these words:

I’m not declaring victory yet, but thanks to Him I can see some of how my “FR attitude” has been out of joint with His will. Like you said, the GOSPEL is our Divine Weapon!

That is the Church (as a voluntary, local association) has been replaced by the State (taxation at the point of a gun) as the foundation of the local community.
And who needs to have their ways mended? It is those who slighted God. Treat Him as raised above all and power from heaven comes to both defend and bless.
Funny thing, the gospel. The more it is believed, the less picking fights seems to make sense. We should let our offense always be the offense of the gospel. Why can’t some hardy Christian souls start a radio broadcast gospel outreach to Islamic communities for instance?
