quote-So should we call Ascension Day the Forgotten Festival?
In certain years, The Feast of Passover, the 14th Day of His 1st month, the Day the Lamb of God died for the sins of the world in accordance with the scriptures, has been a ‘Forgotten’ Festival.
well, maybe not forgotten, but replaced.
and it means the 1st Day of the Feast of Unleavened Bread, the 15th Day of His 1st month, The Sabbath, Day the Lamb laid in the tomb, has been a ‘Forgotten’ Festival, or a replaced festival.
which then means The Feast of First Fruits, the 16th Day of His 1st month, the 1st Day of the 3rd week, The Day of His Resurrection as First Fruits of those who have fallen asleep, has been a ‘Forgotten’ Festival or a replaced festival.
Those tend to be forgotten Feasts/Festivals if they don’t ‘land’ on Rome’s template of Friday/Saturday/Sunday.
amazingly, those are days Paul mentioned to the Corinthians in his 1st letter- the letter describing the 1st/chief importance of the gospel.
remarkable the world may forget those or have replaced them, but that is what has happened.
