Democrats and the media think they finally have their weapon to defeat Trump

Before FBI Director James Comey was fired on Tuesday, there weren’t many politicians on either side of the aisle who were pleased with him or would have been sorry to see him go. Hillary Clinton recently blamed him for her defeat in last year’s presidential election by having re-opened the investigation into her mishandling of classified material less than two weeks before the election. Comey had confirmed in March that the FBI was investigating connections between advisors to President Donald Trump and representatives of the Russian government, both prior to the election last year and in the period between the election and the inauguration in January.

If the left only experienced 10% of what the project on Trump and conservatives: Schumer would be dragged away. The editor of the Washington Post would vanish. Nancy Pelosi would find a sudden need to tend to the grapes at her vineyard, etc. Oh well, fantasies.

We finally really do have “PEAK TRUMP”, this time for real and for sure. We thought it was when his campaign hit 10% support, then 15%, 20%, and of course his peak at 25% support. Then we had peak Trump at 30%, 35%, and his ceiling at 40% support, since a majority of republicans would always oppose him. His real peak was 47% support in the election, except that it rose to just over 50% when he took office.

Now that Trump fired Comey, the man hated by everyone who hates Trump, the man criticized by all Hillary surrogates on a daily basis, now we have the real Peak Trump.

[Some day liberals will be right about “Peak Trump”. My guess: Not until January 19, 2025, when President Trump leaves office with a stable, secure, and prosperous America still standing.]

The Left could have gotten away with it as little as 13 years ago. Then came the infamous Rathergate scandal (started by a Freeper here who realized those documents released by CBS News were easily fakes) and now with the modern Internet, the Left is facing serious competition that has killed their viability.
