I’ll need a little more info on this.

What’s a “cup?” From the coffeemaker’s standpoint, it’s like 4 oz, hardly anything. Most people drink mugs, which are up to 8 oz. And then what strength to use?

I haven’t seen an 8 oz cup of coffee in years. Most now are 12, 16, or 20 oz in the convenience stores and the diners. When I make it now at home I make it one cup at a time and it is only about 3 oz but there is as much coffee in that 3 oz of water as in maybe a half a pot at the Waffle House.

8 oz is a mug? My mug is more than 16 oz, it might be 20 oz. But I drink tea mostly. 8 oz is a little measuring cup, teensy really.
