I’m sorry to end things like this - but I fought the good fight, and lost. Those halcyon days of yore - fighting in the streets to set our people free. Life is cheap in the ‘hood’ when the life is gang life.
The thing is I can see how a smart person stuck in that gang life rut who can’t see a way out might become suicidal.
Once they have that felon tag on them, and who doesn’t in that life, options become extremely limited.
Moral of the story, don’t do stupid things, don’t get a criminal record (especially after 16), and get through high school so options like a trade school or college for those inclined; are still on the table.
