I only played with my family when I was that age. I loved it, but they didn’t like playing a lot.
My friends and I still play it and I’m in my early 30’s, but we mostly played 10 years ago.
We mostly play a variant called Risk:2210. It’s great.
We had a constant Risk game running in my first apartment. When we were tired we would suspend but the game stayed out.
We always connected eastern Australia to Argentina or the player who took Australia would win every time.
