Ignorance of the law is now an excuse?
Comey is really misspelled. It should be spelled C-O-N-E-Y, which means “rabbit”. This guy has all the morals and character of a rabbit. He could find Hitler innocent. People could murder toddlers 5 feet away from this pathetic clown and he would know nothing about it. Why on earth did Trump retain this dangerously stupid and politically oriented moron to head the FBI? Surely there must be a host of highly qualified people to head this important agency.
As Kimberly Gilfoil said last night- Comey does NOT get to make judgment calls like that- His sole purpose is to collect and then present evidence to attorneys for them to make the decision- He does not get to arbitrarily decide for himself that there was ‘no intent’

Intent is not written into the law- either what she and hillary did were felonies, or they weren’t- the evidence points to felonies- intent does not play into it— no more so than intent plays into a bank robber robbing a bank- it’s against the law to rob a bank=- regardless of one’s intent

Exactly- and had a republican senator been smart enough or had enough integrity to do what is right- they would have grilled comey on that very point- Republicans hsoudl have hammered comey on the ridiculous claim that there was ‘;no intent’
The sailor who took a picture of his tiny bunk in a submarine to show his parents how small it was didn’t have criminal intent, either.
Still, he was court-martialed, found guilty of a federal offense (disobeying orders—pictures inside subs are classified) and is now in military prison. When he finished his sentence, he will be discharged under less than honorable conditions, and that will follow him for the rest of his life.
So do we have two sets of laws in this country, one for the elites (who aren’t Republicans, of course) and then another set of laws for the rest of us?
If I ever get pulled over, I’ll cite Comey. He’ll get me off for sure.

Many people can’t-
From what I've read and my own personal experience in just minor classified areas and stealing you'd be in prison. Negligence as Cruz stated( ignorance was his word) shows to me anyway Comey might have a gun to his head, blackmailed, paid off or just plain corrupt.
There MIGHT be an excuse for say one email( but doubtful) but thousands? Then Huma sends to her pervert husband? This is atrocious. I don't think even Comey believes his lies.

Especially when it comes to handling/controlling classified material, intent has absolutely nothing to do with it. I had a security clearance through Top Secret for 25 years in connection with my aerospace jobs. In yearly briefings, I never once heard that if you compromised classified material unintentionally, you were excused.Just the opposite.In this case, it strains credulity to accept that Humedin didn’t know that sending classified material to Anthony Wiener’s computer wasn’t permissible.
Chalk it up to another Obama (gag) legacy.
It's happening over and over. Lawbreakers (like the lawless Obama) get a frickin' pass.
But law-abiding citizens get raked over the coals time and time again.

Even worse, law enforcement condoning it by not prosecuting. It's why I don't like Comey. Selective enforcement is not good.
First, I think there is intent and Comey shouldn’t be making such a judgement. He should just gather the evidence and turn it over to the DOJ for their analysis and decision on prosecuting. He should not be the gating factor, especially on something as subjective as “intent”.
You don’t “accidentally” host your own server or send thousands of classified emails to somebody without clearance. They KNEW it was against the law and did it anyway. It’s ridiculous for him to decide on prosecution based on such a pathetic assertion, he’s overstepping his authority.
