Correct, but, of course, that would never happen. Hence the complaints.
It's called a double standard, and it's the only standard the Democrats and Media (but I repeat myself) have...
But many are claiming he should have deference to the office and the person in the office. Yet as you pointed out, it’s really about the double standard. At least you’re honest.
What’s interesting here is this is the very thing Jeff Mason said isn’t going on, in his interview with Tucker
President Trump should have thrown this angle in his face in an embarrassing manner saying something like "so I give your network time to ask a question and the thing apparently most important to CBS is my past comments about someone not even here anymore rather than important current national events".
Stupid is as stupid does and no one does stupid like the left.
Hehehe... I think it’s time to change my tagline after that one. :)
“And yet if Dickerson went after Hillary in the same manner he asked Trump to back up and clarify the claim, wed be all over ourselves thankful the tough questions were asked.”
Yes, except that it would never happen! Never in a million years.
So is the problem what he asked or to who he asked it?
The problem is that the ever predictable mainstream media units treats some people quite differently than others. If one could reasonably anticipate that a Dickerson/Amanpour/Blitzer/Whomever approached all interviewees the same, their behavior would be palatable. BUT those units would never even conceive of asking a Hillary or Obama either the questions they would ask a Trump or other Republican, nor would they approach him or them with the same aggressive attitude or persistence.
Thanks for the clarification. And that’s what I thought. So many claimed they are upset that a “President” would be even broached with that type of question when the real issue at hand is the perceived or real difference in how a President is questioned based on their party label.
Dont you think that your media organization has overstepped the lines of common decency?
1. First John Dickerson badgers President Trump in an Oval Office interview to the point that a potentially valuable interview and insights into critical current issues facing this country is lost.
2. Second, Steven Colberts shameful insults to President Trump.
Is it any wonder that the media and CBS are becoming known as biased sources of information?
You are in charge of the CBS Corporation, and its reputation reflects upon you. You can either condone such actions or you can direct the management team of CBS to talk to your talent or on-air personalities and tell them that the kind of behavior they have practiced does not reflect well on the brand you are trying to promote.
Shame on your organization.
Sincerely,
xxxxxx
Yes we would. It is the hypocrisy that grinds my stones.
