Rush: Why does anyone vote Republican, if the spending bill 'is what happens when we win?'

Good question...The spending bill is a disaster, and the blame game isn't going to cut it anymore

Yesterday morning, I discussed the atrocious spending bill that’s currently wriggling its way through Congress like a heartworm through a mangy dog. It appears that the GOP has, once again, caved to every imaginable Democrat demand because they’re simply too cowardly to fight for their alleged agenda. After winning the House, Senate, and Presidency, they put forth a plan that gives their opponents everything they wanted - and today, the Democrats are taking a victory tour of the news channels where they grin like Cheshire cats.

Chuck Schumer loves the plan, and that’s all you really need to know.

No question Trump is better than all of them

But would you have rather had Democrats win every time

This is like when folks say FOX is no different than the other networks

It’s not serious

Rush was apprehensive about Trump in 2015 and part of 2016 for whatever reason....Cruz I guess though he said he liked Rubio which agreed.....baffled me with Marcito

I remember with McCain and Romney Rush warned we’d have to hold our noses

With Bush yes he was all in till the amnesty push by Bush and then Rush joined the opposition

I love Rush ...he’s not always right but he’s incredible how he just talks stream of conscious for three hours ad is usually right

He dies we’ll miss him I think

On Ryan we all had high hopes years back didn’t we?

He sounded like a typical GOP BSer. He is trying to make this bloody 1665 page betrayal look like a victory. Well, the two things he mentioned were nice, but it does not excuse the rest.

The Republicans may or may not be cowardly. The feature that determines their stance is the fact that they are Democrats. The so called Republican Party is but the JV wing of the Democrat Ruling Party.

I started out watching Rush’s tv show in 92-93. I was in Jr. high at the time and soon made 11:00 EIB time for his radio program as well.

I laughed as he mocked the dems. I’ll never forget the footage of bubba walking out of that funeral and then shedding crocodile tears when he saw the camera or Ted Kennedy slurring his words at that rally and Rush’s contest to see if callers could figure out exactly what he said. I stuck with him through his scandals: Sandra Fluke, advertisers boycotts, drug addiction, ESPN, divorce. Mostly because he was right and for better or worse he was like family.

That said I’m afraid Rush just isn’t what he used to be. As you pointed out his comments on Rubio were baffling. I don’t say that as a Trump supporter because I’m not. I’ll support Trump when I thought no he deserves it, and rail against him when he doesn’t. I preferred Cruz in the primaries.

I still listen to Rush occasionally. I want to know his opinion. But he seems more interested in preserving his relationships than holding people accountable. He wants to sell us children’s books and tea and subscriptions. He doesn’t do things like Dan’s Bake Sale or melting down the congressional switchboards anymore. He’s lost a bit of his fire.

I hope he returns to his former self.

This is so true. Congressman David Schweikert from Phoenix tells the story of how constituents who describe themselves as conservative beg him to keep funding programs that are important to them individually.

Your comment reminded me of Cartman selling jewelry to an older woman on his Shopping Network. Hilarious and typical Cartman...
