It’s amazing that Bill Nye is ever referred to as a scientist. He’s an engineer...at best.
Not just the facial features, but also that ridiculous frown of condescension.
Far be it from me to stick up for Bill Nye, but a scientist is anyone who applies the scientific method to the universe. Many, if not most people with a science degree are not scientists. Many with the word science in their job title aren’t either. On the other hand, many without a formal science education are scientists.
I really fail to see the difference.
We are heavy on the science and math. Depending on the focus, we just don’t actually do much geology or weather. But generally, we know alot about science and math, and use it.
We are much more scientific than the average “college grad”.
