A series of videos posted to YouTube allege police involved with the recent riot at the University of California Berkeley fired flash-bangs and smoke bombs at Trump supporters to incite violence during the standoff with Antifa protestors.
Self-described munitions expert Thomas Wictor analyzed several videos from the violence last weekend and compared the footage to claims anti-fascists tossed M-80 fireworks and smoke bombs at their political foes during the melee.
One video alleges that “on April 15, 2017, officers of the Berkeley Police Department fired stun grenades at protestors” from nearby building rooftops, and “the goal of using stun grenades on the crowds was to incite murder that would be blamed on President Trump.”

The Berkley police suck. They stand by and let rioters attack people and set fires with impunity. But this video is idiotic.
His “evidence” isn’t video of a cop doing something. Its filming a M-80 and then a blast of something at the protest. From that he concludes that the police shot flash bangs at MAGA people because “only police can get flashbangs”. (despite being able to order them online all day long)
His other evidence is a smoke grenade HAD to be police because of the amount of smoke it put out.
Don’t waste your time on this video. Berkley police suck because they stand by and let the masked rioters do as they please. But this is not accurate, or even smart.

I watched the videos before. There wasn’t a cop in sight.
If anything this is propaganda aimed at distancing the antifags from responsibility for their actions.
The Antifags where tossing M80s into the free speech crowd. The girl who got beat down was putting M80s in glass bottles and toss them as glass frag grenades.

Sorry, not seeing munitions “expert” there. Neither in his evidence, his conclusions, nor in his knowledge. For one, he says only police can get flash bangs. That’s not very expert. Anyone can order them here.

Then his analysis was utterly without merit. Comparing an M-80 blast to a flashbang blast, and concluding that a blast wasn’t an M-80 isn’t even close to proof the cops fired the device in question.
And still, “only a police or military smoke grenade can make that much smoke”. Laughable.
All kinds of powerful smokes can be easily ordered online.
Don't know about that, but what I do know is that the police willfully ignored multiple felonious assaults that were being committed in plain view all around them...
