Yes, they knew. Could care less.
I wouldn’t view it as uncaring, in light of how the Vietnam War had just ended. When the Rwanda genocide occurred, BJ Clinton was afraid of a Somalia repeat (with GIs’ bodies being dragged through the street) so he did nothing - and I’m not sure what he should have done (if anything).
What civilized country was going to go to war for Cambodians in 1975?
At the time, Leftists blamed the Khmer Rouge massacre of Cambodians on Nixon and Kissinger for bombing Cambodia during the Vietnam war. The claim did not make sense except as an expression of Leftist propaganda technique.
Babies aborted in America since 1973 - 57 million.
People killed because of communism over the last 100 years - 100 million.
People killed by muslims since Mohammed - 270 million.
Total number of babies aborted throughout the world since it has been legalized - 1.2 billion.
I am not saying a war should of happened over Cambodia. It was just astonishing that the amount information coming out of there of the genocide going on was greeted with that much apathy. It was only after all of the murders that the movie came out. Then all of the dimwits seemed to care. Believe me or not.
>Look what the Khmer Rouge did after they won the war for Cambodia - killed nearly two million of their own people during peacetime. Oddly enough, the killing stopped when they were invaded by another communist country (post-war Vietnam); they in turn were invaded by another communist country (Red China) as retribution...
The Khmer Rouge had trapped themselves in a leftist holier than thou cycle, similar to the reign of terror in France and the cultural revolution in China. Every week people had to be more left wing the last and people not left wing enough where killed. Vietnam invaded them because Khmer Rouge were going to kill every last person in the country because of this cycle. It’s happened over and over again when left wingers get total power and it’s only stopped by internal strongmen or external invasion.
Quoting a Neo-ractionary writer Jim on leftist singularities like Cambodia:
Leftism is Phariseeism. A leftist is supposedly holier than you are, and so you should obey him. Leftists then compete each to be holier than the other, so Leftisms religious roots are swiftly left behind, as leftism becomes ever more extreme.
and
The French Red Terror, the Soviet Great Terror, the Cambodian autogenocide, and many others were all examples of what I call left political singularities.
Left wing repression tends to make things lefter, which tends to worsen left wing repression, which makes things even lefter, which The process only stops when the latest despot starts to realize he is not left enough, he is being outflanked on the left, is going to be overthrown by those even lefter than himself, and promptly executes everyone important who is even lefter than he is.
Right wing repression does not have this effect, because right wing repression, for example Pinochet, pressures people to forget about politics, whereas left wing repression reaches into every persons life and forcefully pressures them to piously say the politically correct things. Left wing repression forcibly politicizes everything, even your personal private sexual activities. Right wing repression depoliticizes everything.
Have you read his opinions on the American military? Seem very anti-American to me. The American military is listed as the 13th largest mass murderer by him.
Bump.

In July 1974 and April 1975 I testified before two congressional committees about the plans that Khmer Rouge had for political genocide in Cambodia based on a “Secret” intelligence report I was shown by the NSC and then had declassified by the State Department.
I read a lot like Hitler/Himmler’s plans for Jews and other undesirables in the lands that Germany conquered.
The news media never reported on what I had gotten, but it does appear in Prof. Louis Fanning’s book “Betrayal in Vietnam”, Arlington House, New Rochelle, NY, 1976, perhaps the only book to mention it.
A previous congressional study that I did with the late David Martin, “The Human Cost of Communism in Vietnam”, 1972, Sen. Internal Security Subcommittee, Sen. Judiciary Committee, also got deep-sized by the mainstream media including the Wash. Post and NY Times. Only David Lawrence, a syndicated columnist published in the W.P. mentioned the study in general terms.
The liberals/leftists never wanted to admit that their favorite side in the Vietnam/Indochina War, the communists, were just genocidal conquerors and destroyers of freedom.
Link?
Yes, they insisted we had swelled the ranks of the Khmer Rouge with the bombing (ignoring the fact that the Viet Cong and NVA were in Cambodia altogether).
I completely believe you, because I can believe the American public (left and right) had no interest in losing one more son in Southeast Asia. The failure of Vietnamization made it clear that South Vietnam couldn’t survive on its own.
The open attack on the nuclear family was one of the more disturbing aspects of their indoctrination; the children became property of the state in a manner that would make American leftists green with envy...
You’re right about that; the masses of people escaping from post-1975 Indochina are a scathing indictment of the American left’s embrace of those butchers. I’m sure they rationalized it by saying those people shouldn’t have collaborated with the Americans, but many victims never did...
The Left rarely lets facts impede their chosen narrative. For them, making and repeating their claims is sufficient to establish them as true.

That’s right; “Hands up, don’t shoot” has become the truth despite black jurors insisting that scenario never occurred...
That’s Chapter 13. It doesn’t put us 13th on the leaderboard, which is what you originially said. Far from it.
He’s relatively dispassionate. Do you disagree with any of the U.S. items in Chapter 13?
