The Notes on Comm. VA...e.g. Re tribes and blacks; their conditions. Paraphrasing: “ Do they not love their children as we do?”, Etc.
To call him a racist...after he gently tried to persuade his fellows that it was irrational... in the 1760’s... is a sign of true ignorance.
