I watched what pot did to many of my friends in high school. First hand experience.

It affects the development of the brain. When used at a young age, it has the "burn out" effect. After age 23, when the brain is fully developed, it doesn't have the same effect. People with a family history of schizophrenia are discouraged from using it. Instead of making them calm, like it does to most people, it causes agitation.
At first I didn't believe the medical benefits. But then I read a book that an author took two years to write. I was amazed. Soldiers returning from war can get sleep at night because Indica varieties help alleviate PTSD. And there are other medical benefits from cannabinoids that don't have the psychedelic effect of THC such as CBD that is given to those with severe epilepsy. Very little research has been done on cannabinoids because the drug is taboo.

So did I.
Guess what?
They were stupid before they started smoking pot. If not pot, it would have been booze they started with, or cocaine, or lsd. It didn’t matter.
