I don’t care what his credentials are - I’m not buying it.
Actually Hirsch’s credentials are very suspect. He had one big story the “My Lai Massacre” and he’s been living off that ever since. His more recent “howlers” are: (These are my favorites!)
1) When Reagan took office he claimed GHW Bush flew in a SR71 to delay the embassy hostage release so it coincided with Reagan taking office. Why an SR71? It’s the only way he could make the timeline workout since Bush was known to be at a certain place and time.
2) At the start of the Afghan incursion when the Rangers seized Bagram airport, he claimed the entire Ranger battalion had been wiped out and the Bush Jr administration was covering it up. When immediately challenged on the story he used an Indian newspaper article as his source. Yeah that’s definitive! Read 3rd World newspapers sometimes, they still out exaggerate & make up fantasy in their reporting in ways far exceeding the MSM but the gap is rapidly closing. (I have two all time favorite 3rd world newspaper stories. Witches flying through the air stealing TV antennas & Wizards stealing men’s tallywhackers with a handshake. Love the 3rd world!)
There are more but I don’t want to take the time to look them up.
In short if Seymour Hirsch told me it was raining I would go to the window and look!
