I would like to see it where some sections are steel bars or concrete columns going deep in the ground where small animals can travel back and forth. I just want to make sure we have a good wildlife habitat too.

Whatever wildlife there is has habitat on both sides. It will make no difference there will just be a wall dividing the territories. It will just divide the populations not destroy their habitats.

Prolly the only way to ensure wildlife can continue to cross the border in key areas with proven migration routes, is to initially have gaps in the wall, perhaps 50-100 feet wide, where border agents would have to be present 24/7, as well as wildlife biologists to study IF any animals even use the crossing. If certain animals are not using the opening, or in sufficient enough numbers, then that opening can be closed with the same sort of wall that’s built in that area.

I quite agree. We do not want to create genetic bottlenecks on either side of the wall for animals and plants. There needs to be certain parts of the wall which are open enough to allow wildlife but NOT HUMANS to cross. Not even human children.

I agree. Access to water would seem to be a big issue.
Wall off the Rio Grande and the wildlife on the US side may not have any other supply of water.

Lizards or American lives. You decide.
