Jeff Sessions was fired as a US Attorney when Bill Clinton took over.
My favorite two times of the year are the weekends we have to change the clocks. Seriously. I really like it. Personally I wish we would add two hours to the end of the day in the summer months. Having it daylight until around 10PM in mid-summer is fine with me.
It happened day one of the Obama administration. I’m surprised it Trump this long.
"Standard Time" is now less than half the year. Does that mean that the time zone you are in during summer is actually your "Standard Time"?
As I understand it, there are 93 U.S. Attorneys. They serve at the pleasure of the President. It is normal for them to all offer their resignations when a new President takes office. And it is normal for many of them to be replaced on such an occasion.
If I recall correctly, Bill Clinton replaced all of the U.S. Attorneys when he took office. That was not normal. But what it did do was stop all investigations into Clinton activities and politicize the entire U.S. Attorney system.
Democrats and their media lapdogs are, as usual, screaming about things they do and not what is happening. It’s called projection.
But St. Barack just gave me that hour in November just before the election.
DST is just taking the wisdom of Ben Franklin's "early to bed, early to rise..." and turning it into an order by the federal government. Not that I mind sunset around 9pm through much of June and July.
No matter when it “happens” it’s a dumb idea. Keep “Daylight Saving Time” all year around, and don’t change the clock to make out that we are doing something useful.
But seriously...why can’t it happen at 4 PM on a Friday?
Bill Clinton's administration fired all 93 U.S. attorneys when Janet Reno became attorney general in March 1993.
Reagan replaced 89 of the 93 U.S. attorneys in his first two years in office.
President Bush had 88 new U.S. attorneys in his first two years.
At the beginning of a new presidential administration it is traditional for all 93 U.S. Attorneys to submit a letter of resignation.
When a new President is from a different political party almost all of the resignations will be eventually accepted.
So what's the big deal and why do all the usual suspects have their knickers in a twist? Oh! I forgot...it's because...Trump.
