My tv view rules, “if gay character in first segment, turn off and never turn on” Empire, turned off and never looked back. It just shows a weak writing ability and I want a story not a lecture.
Major Crimes is a good story but that weak kneed gay kid who is every where is horrible. First the idea of an adopted gay kid running around the LAPD in a major crime unit is stupid. He is the gay crutch.
I don’t watch HGTV as every couple is gay looking for a home. No they are not. Stop it already.
We watch HGTV but whenever we see an episode where "John and his partner Frank are looking for a home in....." we switch to something else.
fetish propaganda should have an automatic R if not NC-17.
beauty and the beast is not a movie for children because of this.
Enjoyed your post.
I agree completely.
I too am a fan of Major Crimes but inserting that silly gay kid is waste of my precious time. They’re not writing this stuff as part of any dramatic and moving story. They’re writing it because someone’s paying them to add it in every damn show and commercial on TV.
You’re right about the HGTV thing too. In my whole life, just been around, I’ve never met a gay couple buying a house together. Of course I lived a limited life, not all over the world....etc....but my sister is a hairdresser for what it’s worth. Seldom do gay couples buy houses together.
I’m the same way, my rule is if I see some kind of gay, homo, transgender thing going on first thing...I turn it off.
I don’t want it and don’t have to watch it.
We recorded the remake of Tme after Time on ABC.
There was a gay character in the first few minutes and an obvious feminist. We turned it off.
Same here. Enough with the LGBTWHATEVER crap. HGTV = Homo Gay TV. Don’t watch it anymore. Pretty much given up Foodnetwork, too due to nearly every female chef is butch and have “wives.” Turned Major Crimes off at the first gay kiss with that sappy kid. I’ve watched Survivor since day one and tried to ignore the token gay in each season but permenantly turned it off last season because of the transgender they tried to quietly sneak on. No, Mark Burnett and his wife Roma Downey are not the good religious people they make themselves out to be so no more of either’s productions. My tv viewing is becoming less and less.
Yesterday, someone mentioned books were the same. Agree. No more casual fiction. My reading has narrowed down to “how to” books. Sad what the world has come to. So much for new horizons.
