Advisers to President Donald Trump are urging him to purge the government of former President Barack Obama's political appointees and quickly install more people who are loyal to him.
A number of his advisers believe Obama officials are behind the leaks and are seeking to undermine his presidency, with just the latest example coming from reports that Attorney General Jeff Sessions met twice last year with the Russian ambassador to the U.S. and apparently misled senators about the interactions during his confirmation hearing.
That was coupled with a New York Times story that Obama appointees spread information about the investigation into the Trump campaign's contacts with Russia in an attempt to create a paper trail about the probe. Trump's aides have also blamed Obama appointees for other damaging leaks, like Trump's erratic phone calls with foreign leaders.
Inside the White House, the chatter about Obama officials in the government has heightened in recent weeks, one administration official said. And advisers are saying it is time to take action.
"His playbook should be to get rid of the Obama appointees immediately," said Newt Gingrich, a top surrogate. "There are an amazing number of decisions that are being made by appointees that are totally opposed to Trump and everything he stands for. Who do you think those people are responding to?"

Obama has infiltrated all of the agencies with enemies of the citizens and the Constitution.

Good idea. GOP Presidents are idiots. NEVER keep Democrat trash around. They are always Democrats 1st and the Obama stooges are ever worse then your usual treacherous run of the mill Democrats
Having a fifth column within your administration is a recipe for disaster. If you have people who are actually working at cross purposes to the policies you want implemented and leaking sensitive information to the media for the purpose of tarnishing you or the administration they need to be identified and purged immediately. Its becoming obvious that Obama planted the seeds for this. It reminds me somewhat of the situation that existed in West Germany right after WWII. Germans ended up having to run a good portion of the governmental infrastructure out of necessity. The question then became how do we know where their sympathies lie? Are they left over Nazis? Or maybe Soviet plants? You need to really have some oversight to ensure compliance. In our case today many of these moles are career bureaucrats who never had it better than under Barack. If they’re not willing to tow the Trump line they need to kicked to the curb. I don’t care if they’re going kicking and screaming but they should be kicked to curb nonetheless.

Having those spots empty would not only encourage the Senate to act quickly on confirmations - but having them empty would be far better than having one’s own enemies still holding power.
The last 6 weeks have proven this to be true.
I didn’t like the snide comments about Trump in that article. The title of the article appealed to me, it’s why I opened the thread, but I was disappointed to have to read snide comments about Trump’s “erratic calls with foreign leaders” in the body of the article. Fake news. Poop on them.
