Do you agree with President Trump that legalization should be decided state-by-state?

If we are EVER going to rid ourselves of the FEDERAL BEAST states should decide DAMNED NEAR EVERYTHING!!! We the people can decide where we want to live, in freedom or in CA.!!!
Wrong again. You can bitch, moan and disapprove all you want. They still buy food you won’t approve of, and for all I know, live in a nicer house. You are free to gripe about it, though. Thanks for your service.
I am in favor of states rights so yes, I agree with him.
I think many of the sticky issues in D.C. could be fixed by pushing them out to the states.
Once it’s able to be commercially grown for industrial commodities the large scale growing of the latter will destroy all but the most tightly quality controlled smoking/medicinal weed grows through unintended cross pollinization.
If he’s concerned about “violence” associated with pot, then fully legalize it and let the business people access the banking system...freeing them from the dangerous burden of very large stacks of cash.
THAT problem is easy to solve.
No, it won’t. It’ll just mean weed with seeds in it. The seeds will be of questionable quality, but the female parent will be of whatever strain was planted. Of course, fans of connoseur weed will be pissed about the seeds, but that’s what their hippie forebears had to put up with.
Why don't you think alcohol is a "gateway drug"? On the planet where I live, almost every single drug user is also a drinker. And almost every single marijuana smoker is also a drinker.
To me, the whole concepts of "gateway drugs" is flawed. Drug users seem to have it in their personalities. Whatever is available they will dabble in. Some become addicted, some don't.
This country has already seen the folly of alcohol prohibition, and rejected it. MJ is coming next, and not criminalizing casual users is beneficial to society.
Great news. Follow the same state’s rights path with abortion. The Federal Government needs to return to it’s constitutionally limiting box.
Those seeds will be the product of 1/2 Vulcan mind eraser and 1/2 Con Agra ditch weed (example). If you plant those seeds your going to get lesser weed. Maybe not a big deal for cloners, but your not going to get the same stuff you started with.
I’m guessing that too.
They gotta be looking at Colorado taking in 128 million in fees and taxes last year and that’s up from approx. 85 million from the year before, for all types of weed - medicinal and recreational.
The figure was actually $199 million in taxes and fees for 2016 (which reinforces your point).

thanx...I pulled my figures from colorado...look in december
If i missed something, let me know.

look at th last line in the columns
Year-to-Date Year-to-Date
FY2016-17 FY2015-16
My device doesn’t do pdf:) I’d have to go with your figures since they are sourced directly from CO.
Then there’s this =>
The Denver Post reported the numbers based on just-released data from the Colorado Department of Revenue.
...
Colorado recorded $199 million in tax and fee revenue from marijuana sales in 2016, the Post reports.

By the time I was about 15 the smell was nauseating, couldn’t be around it. Call me selfish but I don’t want to live in a country where all states allow everyone to use it freely. I don’t want to smell that. In a world where cigarette smokers have been demonized why in the hell are we legalizing marijuana? Not that I believe in jail time for the offense. But there are many mostly unenforced laws on the books. I say keep it an illegal substance so that the smokers will have incentive to stay out of the public eye with it. Or am I just an idiot for thinking that in 5-10 years people will be smoking joints on the sidewalk and hanging out of their cars? Maybe it’s “selfish” but having chemical sensitivities, I don’t wanna have to smell that crap all over the place.
They’d be great, ground up in a kale smoothie.
I agree with your viewpoint. Used some drugs in my youth and remember the effects of them, including marijuana. It’s not something that should get a bill of approval from the government imo. It is a gateway drug, don’t care what anyone says. Once or twice smoked some unknowingly laced with PCP (I think that was the substance, they called it “wiki or happy stick.” Actually contains embalming fluid, ack. Look how many have gotten sick from “brownies” and other foods with it baked in. Drugs are bad. Even many prescription drugs. But sometimes in people’s lives they are necessary, and thus regulated. As should be pot, only for those who are ill and when it’s doctor approved. jmho.
“In Colorado, the users have trashed their cities and don’t seem to care about cleaning up after themselves.”
My sister-in-law who’s lived in Boulder, Co. tells use a completely different story. She, a non-cannabis user sees zero negative impacts of legal cannabis. This is a woman who travels the state extensively following her children’s high school & college spots activities. She was in for a visit last spring & I asked her about life there since cannabis became legal.
