Danger of extreme hype until this has some serious independent confirmation. Let’s hope it proves better than “cold fusion”....

It used to be that every six or seven years, a new breakthrough in Cold Fusion was just around the corner from being approved for development. It always seemed the experiment could never be dependably repeated under the same circumstances. This is back when Consumer Reports was far more influential than now.
If this Young Emirati’s invention is proven to be valid, my instant concern is how soon will the Caliphate buy or copy the invention in order to make bombs against all those dastardly rascally Kefirs? If they don’t get a hold of it, our own military probably will try.

Graphene is a zero-gap semiconductor, because its conduction and valence bands meet at the Dirac points. The Dirac points are six locations in momentum space, on the edge of the Brillouin zone, divided into two non-equivalent sets of three points. The two sets are labeled K and K'. The sets give graphene a valley degeneracy of gv = 2. By contrast, for traditional semiconductors the primary point of interest is generally Γ, where momentum is zero.

I just purchased 250 carats of boron doped diamond (which is a P-type semiconductor. It’s harder to get N-doped diamond as it turns out.
It’s funny, because in my application I embed it in silicon dioxide with ultra fine graphite suspended in it making it condustive...

I haven’t seen something this PUFFED UP in a long time. Funny that the “inventor’s” brother works for an asset management company. Watch out for the investment pitches down the road — stay far away.

Yeah, who would of thought two compounds made from the same element could be combined.

Shucks! And that was my best copy and paste evah! Did you know that graphene has been shown to be an effective decay preventive dentifrice when used in a conscientiously applied program of regular dental hygiene with regular checkups?

I'll have you know that graphene is also an excellent lubricant for artificial knee joints, and can turn ordinary latex paint into a bulletproof auto finish. Bet ya didn't know that!
