I sympathize with conservatives in Washington state. From what I understand, Seattle and NW Washington is leftist while the Eastern part of the state is normal. I could be wrong, though.

You aren't wrong, we here in the Eastern, (red) part of Washington state are "normal." The Seattle area, which I grew up in in the 60's used to be very conservative, but we became Californicated in the 80's unfortunately. And now Seattle's favorite politician is an immigrant socialist who pretty much runs Seattle's city council.

We've seen better days.
