No one should be surprised . It’s what they are taught to believe no matter where they are born .
It’s exactly why you don’t bring them into the country.
They don’t want to be Americans , they hate your way of life . They hate you too.
Back in my college days in the 70s, they brought in a bunch of Iranians. They hated it here and made it very plain with their scowls and refusing to speak to anyone. The profs were ordered to pass them no matter if they did the work or participated in class. Which they didn’t. That made the bell curve hard on US students.
In the ‘90s at the Univ. of TX in Austin, they were terrifying everyone by setting up tents along the walkways and yelling at and shaking fists in passerbys’ faces.
No, they do not want to assimilate.
