I was in the Bronx a couple months ago. Stopped at an intersection. A gang of what I guess were Somali women in colored niqabs swarmed the cars, selling newspapers, fruit, sodas.

Street vending (open air service from shacks and tables on the side of the road) are the usual in Mexico ... So what’s wrong with NO clean water, road dirt on the food and utensils, NO hand-washing, NO urinals or toilets, and NO sanitation controls on rats and vermin eating the scraps left on the pavement ... Which has NO trash pickup either?
Yeah.... No reason for all that expensive building and sewer hookups and power and water ... And soap.
