Okay, Albion & I will camouflage a Subaru so that it looks like something else. I can’t live w/out my Sub. Years ago we were visiting my husband’s family on the east coast & we slid on black ice on the Jersey turnpike & slid across the highway & back across to the median. The car was totalled & we were fine. It was harrowing. The crusty Jersey tow guy said, “You know why you’re alive?” He tapped on the frame & said, “One of the best.”
Sorry...get a Mercedes. Mine saved my daughters life. You just need to learn how to drive a rear wheel drive car. They work great on snow and ice with proper training. Including on black ice, I’ve done it in North Idaho. Not a scratch. But even in the best of circumstances, black ice is a 50-50 proposition.
I think your Subaru is fine. I think the article should have used a different example like the Prius. Sorry if I wasn’t clear.
