Read this book if you have not. While the scenario is fiction, the threat of a national disaster and the ensuing chaos we can expect is not. This book was cited on the floor of the House and in Congressional Committee as a dire warning.

Scariest book I've ever read. The nursing home section was an eye-opener, and is why I'll be damned if I ever put my mother in a home. That and she'd kick my butt if I tried to take her away from the garden she loves so much.

I have/ had that book. I can’t find it on my bookshelf anywhere and wonder if I lent it to someone.
It’s a fantastic book and not all that unlikely to play out that way should a disaster happen.
