I’m having a fun time watching President Trump flood the news cycle with so many stories and outrages that no one can keep up. Here’s how the math of persuasion works in this situation:
1 outrage out of 3 headlines in a week: Bad Persuasion
25 outrages out of 25 headlines in a week: Excellent Persuasion
At the moment there are so many outrages, executive orders, protests, and controversies that none of them can get enough oxygen in our brains. I can’t obsess about problem X because the rest of the alphabet is coming at me at the same time.

Military guys recognize exactly what’s happening. The President is inside his opponents decision cycle. Well inside. He’s overwhelming them in fact.

Spot on, that infamous OODA Loop. This is what happens when your opponent is two turns ahead of you. It isn't pretty.
There is another cycle President Trump (God, I love typing that) is inside, and that is the news cycle. It becomes very difficult for ad-hoc cabals such as Journ-O-List to coordinate a response when they're two stories behind the media cycle. If they seem confused and outraged at the moment, it's at that very unfamiliar feeling of no longer having the initiative.
It's a little exhausting for the rest of us as well, but it sure is fun, this "winning" thing. We should have tried it years ago.
Outrage dilution pretty soon turns into outrage fatigue.
Just wait till these special snowflakes get outraged about us not caring about their outrage.
Scandal fatigue worked for Bill Clinton. It’s a perfectly reasonable thing to expect outrage fatigue to work in President Trump’s favor. Precedent and all that.
I believe it’s been termed “Shock And Awe” in the past.
Soon, President Trump will have them so convoluted they won’t know whether to poop or go blind...

OODA - exactly on the mark. The enemedia is stuck on the first two letters and can’t move because they have to continually hit reset.
Excellent. I saw a poster on Facebook the other day, with a woman on one side holding up a sign that said ‘My Body, My Choice’. On the other side was Uncle Sam holding a sign that read ‘Your Choice, Your Responsibility.’
