You must not have watched “Fargo” ;-)

But I tend to agree, this is a solution to a nearly non-existent problem in ND and we will not see similar laws in those blue city-state areas where it is much more needed. For example, it’s easier to imagine the current NYC regime firing a cop who said something mean to a protester than giving the OK to a law that makes it impossible for them to ruin someone elses life for their own narcissistic stupidity.

This legislation arises from the Dakota Access Pipeline protest, where losers and rabble blocked roads, destroyed equipment and other property, and damaged and burned vehicles.

Most of the violence was away from population areas, but the filth (most of the trouble is seen to have come from outside talent imported to the area) did move up into Bismarck and distrupted traffic and commerce there.

My home of Bismarck, pop. 65K, is the capital of the state, and the seat of Morton County, which together have been forced to spend $22 million so far on policing this garbage.

The protests are quieted now, because of cold and Obama's directive that the pipeline not be built, despite having been fully vetted and permitted, by Obama's own EPA.

But it will start again in the spring, especially given President-elect Trump's rightful determination to see the pipeline completed.

And you can't imagine the abuse one endures if one's Facebook, e-mail account or physical address is exposed; nor the irritation at the knowledge that the protesters are camped illegally on Corps of Engineer lands, and that our tax dollars are also going to feed, warm, and doctor to the people attacking us.
