Fox News has re-signed Bob Beckel to be a co-host of The Five. Juan Williams will remain a Fox News contributor across all programs and continue appear on the program.
Beckel parted ways with Fox News in the middle of 2015, with the network at that time stating that they could no longer be held “hostage to one man’s personal issues.” This followed Beckel spending several months recovering from surgery and being in rehab for an addiction to painkillers.
In today’s announcement, Fox News Executive Chairman Rupert Murdoch said “Bob was missed by many fans of The Five and we’re happy to welcome him back to the show.”
Beckel added, “I’m thrilled for the opportunity to go home again and join my television family around the table of The Five. I have no doubt it will be a vigorous yet entertaining debate.”
Beckel first joined Fox News as a contributor in 2000 and then rejoined the network in 2011 as one of the original co-hosts of The Five. After exiting Fox, he was with CNN for a short time as a commentator.
Love him or hate him, he’s better than Juan.
There’s video montage on youtube of ol’ Bob and his hands-down “predictions” of the election...all wrong, of course.
Amazing how Fox (and the others in the MSM) can take these non-productive losers who have never had a real job in their life and pay them millions of dollars to bloviate on topics they know little about.
Five random people off the streets could do a better analysis of current events than all of these millionaire morons.

I don’t watch it anymore because I can’t stand Juan Williams. He has the Democrat propaganda down to a tee and spews it. I don’t know how the other people refrain themselves from just looking at him and saying....Oh God! Just shut up!
At least Beckel is thoughtful at times.

Actually, Gutfeld, Perino, Williams have destroyed “The Five”...I never watch it anymore!!! Rupert Murdoch and his two “Obamabot” loser sons....they ain’t too bright!!! Although...they did toss Megyn Kelly into forever obscurity land...NBC is getting royally ripped off, and will lose millions ov viewers because of Ms. Kelly!!! NBC is dumber then the Murdoch family!!!

One would think that Fox, with all its financial resources, could do a lot better than the nauseating trio of Beckel, Geraldo, and Juan Williams.
Anyrhing/anybody is better than Juan.

Actually, Bob always humored me in his own peculiar way. I can’t stand Juan Williams’ constant propaganda. I welcome the change back to Beckel. Williams makes Beckel look good. Now get rid of Perino. Can’t stand her.

Actually, behind the scenes, I wonder if Bolling had something to do with Beckel coming back. He and Beckel got along quite well in spite of their political differences. In fact, Beckel would go over to Bolling’s house to go swimming in his pool during the summer and to hang out. I don’t think Bolling got along with Juan on or off stage, at all. I smell Bolling’s fine hand behind this change. Good.

I think Beckel adds to The Five. I don’t have an issue with him even if I do disagree with his politics.
I don’t know why supposedly conservative shows insist on the token hater. Don’t know who likes to watch that kind of vitriol but not me. Bye bye “The Five”.

Agree! Williams is cringe inducingingly awful. It also seems like the others only tolerate him. He seems like a man w/ no real core convictions. And then there’s that awful high pitched whiny voice.
Juan’s sons are conservatives, so it would seem at least he brought them up right.
