DAO’s have a fairly long pull, before the trigger breaks, and are generally fairly heavy (5.5-7lbs) in my experience. Striker fired have a lighter pull weight, and the take up is fairly short, and non-existent on the reset. Why can’t we just describe them as they are,ie:,SA,Da/Sa,DAO,and striker fired.
My Glock 23 has a fairly long pull. They are definitely a striker pistol, but I remember the write-ups describing the trigger type as DAO.
