If they’d just robbed the guy...it’d be just assault and robbery charges. The minute they went to torture...it was a hate-crime, pure and simple.

Conviction possibility? Zero. This will cause the general public to go back and question the whole intent of hate-crimes and how the system won’t work as advertised.

Add kidnapping, false imprisonment and extortion to that. All federal offenses. If they took his cell phone so he couldn’t make a call, that’s another serious offense.

The minute it went onto social media, it became an act of terrorism. if you really think about it.
