Anecdotal, but since Indiana went Right-to-Work 10years ago, and made union membership OPTIONAL, less than 9% of Indianapolis teachers now pay dues.

That represents a HUGE revenue source for the Democrat Party just GONE, and it shows in the election results.

I went through this in our local school district. The hard core NEA members were rectal vents even trying to force the district to sign me up involuntarily and very likely fraudulently by forging an application in my name.

The bottom line is that I beat them by contacting a conservative teacher's association which eventually came on campus an brought on many more members and was even voted as the district's bargaining unit off and on.

“new director of membership engagement”. If this means listening for a change, then it might work. Given the history, it sounds like smoke and mirrors to me.
