Lol!! I’ve done that very thing. I used to not clear weapons since I always store them unloaded and didn’t want to offend someone. Then I realized that even people who carry guns for a living don’t know jack about them. I clear every weapon I hand to someone now unless we’re on a range and I’ve loaded it for them.
A local gun enthusiast was showing a revolver to his dad one Fathers Day. Dad handed it back and it “went off,” removing gunnut’s finger and hitting his now ex-girlfriend in the thigh.
