Doors that ‘open’ can be closed.
The problem is, Jordan doesn’t want the Pali animals either. No one does. They’re culture pollution.
The arabs there already have a homeland. It’s called Jordan.
They can’t even pick up their own garbage!
More like slamming the door on any chance the Palis had - and with their attitude, they didn’t have a chance in Hell....
Very important statement from the article:
“Israel presently constitutes 17% - not 78% - of the original mandate”
All Jewish settlers who had settled east of the Jordan were forced back west of the Jordan River with the explanation that the area east was Arab.
Between 1923 and 1948 the British reneged on their custody requirements and failed to name the remaining 22% the Jewish Homeland, despite the area being historically Jewish.
In 1948 Great Britain withdrew, Israel was establish, and the Arab League attacked. This was blatantly an attempt to wipe out all Jews and establish Muslim rule “from the rive to the sea”.
Once there was a ceasefire, Tran-Jordan occupied the area now referred to as the West Bank. Trans-Jordan proclaimed this area to be part of Trans-Jordan, and renamed itself Jordan, since it now straddled the Jordan River. It also gave Jordanian citizenship to all residents of this area.
Jordan then proceeded to wipe out anything in Jerusalem and the West Bank that was Jewish. They destroyed synagogues that had existed for centuries, confiscated all Jewish property, and took Jewish tombstone from the Mount of Olives to install as flooring in their military urinals. They also put a gold topping on the Dome of the Rock in 1959. This was a concerted effort to establish Jerusalem as part of Jordan.
The international community refused to recognise Jordan annexation of the area and it was considered occupied. Jordan eventually renounced its ownership of the area, but only after Jordan attacked Israel in 1967 and lost the area to Israel following the 6-Day War.
So, who is the occupier, Israel who regained what was promised them by the League of Nations and International Law, or Jordan, when it occupied the area between 1948 and 1967?
As the article states there are already two states, Jordan and Israel that have been created out of the Palestinian Mandate.
