Concur on the French. I have a friend who lives in Paris, works for top-drawer finance companies as a manager and consultant in IT and cybersecurity, and who speaks four languages, including obviously French. He says many days the only time he speaks French is when he orders lunch. English is the language of business and technology. Study French for fun maybe, but if she wants a language that would be a marketable skill, learn Chinese.
