It might make more sense to call the mainstream media an endangered species and place them in a special place like antelope and spotted owls, where they can survive unharmed by predators such as the alt right and radio talk show hosts. /s

I can assure you from personal observation in NM, OK, & KS that the creature typically referred to as the pronghorn antelope is quite far from being “endangered”. All of those states have hunting seasons for the glorified and fleet cousin of the goat. BTW, true antelope are confined to the African continent per the website below that also notes that some pronghorn sub-species are endangered but not the wider population:
