“Because we have good painkillers that dont necessarily render someone unable to contribute to society.”
I’m pretty sure medical marijuana won’t stop granny from “contributing to society”. Heck, she might even double up the amount of cookies she brings to the next church bake sale.
It should not be legal. Why turn people or especially kids into drug brained dependents?
Keep in mind 20% of Americans are recreational drug users and that 20% keeps the Mexican drug cartels and Isis financed.
If the want to rehab from drugs the going success rate is 3%.
Agree that it should be available for those who would actually benefit medically. The trouble is that most of the “outlets” aren’t properly controlled and it’s become an avenue for recreational users. There’s also medical grade cocaine that is tightly controlled. I guess they wanted it available w/o the “medical grade/controlled” costs that always go with anything the government gets its hands around and made it too easy for folks who just wanted the high to get hold of. Since TCH isn’t the ingredient that makes it “medical in nature”, and it’s benefits can be effected with low content of THC, they could stop the abuse by using very low THC content but instead have boosted the THC to previously unheard of content.
Wow, do you work for a drug company?
“Because you can get Marinol, the drug that improves appetite, as a prescription without the high of marijuana.
Because we have good painkillers that dont necessarily render someone unable to contribute to society.”
If it’s cheaper, then great.
But if a personal hangup about pot is going to artificially remove competition for this other medicine, so that whomever makes it can jack up the price into the stratosphere, then that’s not going to work.
Because in the end, if a person is that sick to need this alternative, then I’m not seeing them as someone that is going to be out working a job anywhere anyway.
My guess is that this newbie blog pimper snuck into her stash.
Does your mom take a drug called marinol or simply smoke pot as her “treatment?”
Well we always picked it up at the Pharmacy. The Publix one and a chain. That was in Tennessee.
“It should not be legal. Why turn people or especially kids into drug brained dependents?”
Yet we scream at the left for going after cigars and cigarettes, and laugh at Prohibition?
It’s Marijuana, not cocaine.
“Why is Medical Marijuana Not Legal In Every State?”
Because it creates more problems than it is said to solve?
The states are known in civics class as “laboratories of democracy”. One or more states can undertake an unorthodox course of action while all the others can observe and judge the results.
Works here, IMO.
Another reason:
ATF demands their funding for their pay raises, pensions, job security, etc.
There is no way they want marijuana legalized for any purposes. It’s job security to them.
“Because there are oral medications with the active ingredient of marijuana that are just as effective.”
Marijuana has more than one active ingredient though.
Do you think everyone prescribed MJ smoke it? Most do take it in another form, but it still has to be legalized.
Because there are legal drugs that are more effective safer then smoking pot. And because the “medicall marijuana” movement was all about getting the camel’s nose under the tent so that smoking pot by stoners could be legal.
Really glad it helped your mom, no one wants to see their mom suffer. I have heard that it was cotton farmers who got it classified as a schedule one drug because of fear of competition. Have no idea if that’s true. A real pothead did tell me that....so who knows!? I don’t use it, but I think it is ridiculous that it’s not legal everywhere.
This was something she drank. She said it was nasty. It only took about a tea spoon’s worth and in about two days she had an appetite.
“Faster, play faster! Play faster, come on, play faster!!”
Smoking anything is idiotic. Medical brownies possibly.
The plant prevents blindness, physical, and spiritual.
