All you need to do is peel back the sheet, pour the water in a VOILA!, put the sheet back in place. Oy Vey!

We always put down a BIG sheet of plastic or a slit open garbage bag under the tree ( for spill ), then the skirt, and then top all with the stand and tree.
When the boughs are all open/down ( and the ornaments will also help bring down the boughs ), you really can't see the stand.
