E-Auto engineers are working on the wrong problem, it is not the range that potential buyers don’t like it is the long recharge time.
I was told by someone who in the future might be a high tech household name that all the hype about miracle batteries is essentially just that. And they stated it is chemistry ( unless a breakthrough occurs that throws that out the window imho ), so with that said the ultimate capacity is 400kw/hr. We are @ 100 to 140 kw/hr depending upon the car and it's batteries. So we have a potential of 3 to 4 times-ing where we are. The question is can you get their with the batteries being stable, reliable, and producible at those outputs.
Yes, charge time is key, and "Store Dot" out of Israel claims to have a biopeptide that they are adding to their battery for a potential 5 minute auto charge time. http://www.store-dot.com/
FWIW, with what the guru told me, I did the math on a Nissan Leaf and came up w/ 320ish mile range if my math is correct if a 400 kw/hr battery was in it.
So the max we might have in front of us might be 300 mile range and a 5 minute charge, that is not to shabby...
