‘Smoking tobacco is bad, smoking marijuana is good’

I’m going to get a little technical here. Lung cancer starts when the inhaled smoke paralyses the cilia on the edge of the cells. The cilia are there to waft dirt, etc, up and out of the lungs. When the delicate secretory cells that line the interior of the lungs lose their cilia, they start to change into protective cells. With tobacco, the tars are the carcinogen and they start acting on the cells to begin the change from a protective type of cell into cancerous cells. With marijuana, I suspect the smoke also kills the cilia. I doubt they have done studies on lung cancer in marijuana users as most marijuana users are probably tobacco users, too. It is a mystery why those oh so arrogant ‘health nuts’ in California, would be ignoring the possibility of lung cancer from smoking marijuana. Just my two cents. (personally, I am against marijuana smoking as I believe it takes away the desire to be a successful participant on our economy. But that comes from watching so many of my generation turn into ‘pajama children and adults’.

That’s a strawman framing anyway. Smoking pot is not the only way To get the effect. Baked goods and vaporizers are effective because only a little heat is needed to set the high free...
