NEWARK, NJ — Public protests and criticism of President-elect Donald Trump is growing in Essex County, including the county’s most populous city, Newark.

Dozens of large, anti-Trump protests have been reported across the nation since his surprising election day win over Hillary Clinton, including a massive action planned for downtown Washington D.C. on Inauguration Day, Jan. 20.

These cities are just daring him to cut off federal funding. Do they have any idea who they’re dealing with?

I think it’s great that these blue cities are all volunteering to give 100% of their federal funding to help build the wall. It’s like a tax that is specifically targeted at Obama voters. Awesome!

Omg, they are everywhere here! Try going into the Rutgers University City, New Brunswick and you’ll see they’ve taken over the place. I don’t know how so many of them get so far up north but they definitely do. NJ seems like a sanctuary state.

That is exactly the comparison I was contemplating!
Nobody was likely in fear of getting yanked out of a car and assaulted in that earlier traffic jam, either.

Forget cutting off federal $$$. Just arrest them for aiding & abetting criminal activity then try them in a court of law. Since they are aiding & abetting violent criminal activity they can serve some hard time in maximum security.

This reminds me of how oil prices dropped precipitously as soon as we announced we were fracking. We didn’t have to actually DO anything. We just had to announce the process started and BAM...down came the prices.

Same with illegal immigration policies. Now that the illegals believe the laws will be enforced they’ll remove themselves rather than be “taken care of” by others.

This has been the best political week of my life.

“We are going to save a lot of money cutting off funding to blue cities.”

We could balance the budget on this alone!

I think that the expense for being/remaining a ‘sanctuary’ city ought to be the option of the local taxpayers.

The fed should allow sanctuary cities, where locals are THEMSELVES willing to support the cause.

National revenue must not to be used for that kind of thing, if cities defy immigration policy and in fact, break the law.

if these "sanctuary" cities think they need to keep a bunch of illegals around, let them....but don't expect fed money to house and feed them and give them medical care...

there's a price to pay...

HUSSEIN OBAMA’S still the President last time I looked.
So, they planning to be lawbreakers? OK. We see how that
works out for them.

These cities will get back on the side of the citizens and the rule of law once the money gets cut off.

I am thinking the protests are orchestrated. People don’t spontaneously “clog the streets” without being notified that a protest is happening. That means putting up notices on bulletin boards and telephone poles where students can see them. That takes an organization. Many carry hand made signs. That takes advance notification that a protest is happening so the task of getting the paint, the brushes and poster paper together can be done. Many signs are made up by committees to be handed out to the protesters. That takes an advance organization.

Question: Is someone paying the organization leaders? My hunch is the organization leaders are getting paid.

Absolutely another positive way to eliminate our national debt!

All of these blue cities, mainly in blue states, will give the Treasury a larger and larger share of our precious tax dollars.

Not only will federal funds be cut for these cesspools, their share of other $$$ in goods and services caring for their glut of illegal aliens: school funds due to illegals taking up classrooms, less money to hospital emergency rooms for any cough or snivel and cut finger, etc.

On and on it goes, caching, caching (or however else you spell that sound!!!

The first sentence of President Trump’s inaugural address should be a directive to US Marshals to round up and jail the mayors of all sanctuary cities.

Cut off ALL federal money the the offending city, AND, arrest any and all civil servants from the on down to the local police, and charge them with aiding and abetting, obstruction of justice, and whatever else the feds can throw at them.

Thanks to nobama, the courts ruled that it’s the responsibility of the feds to enforce immigration law.

Oh, and then sue the city to cover detention and deportation costs.

I cant wait to cut this money off from these outlaws bastards. They will never again deny federal authority over immigration. The Supreme Court ruled in the Arizona case that Arizona had no authority over federal immigration policy— how much authority do you think a city has? CUT OFF THE MONEY AND WATCH THEM BEG. Deport the criminal illegal aliens NOW!!

Please do. That way, only your unfortunate citizens will pay their medical, feeding, welfare, social security, court, etc. costs.

Oh, we’ll arrange to cut off your electricity randomly every few days so that you can continue your flight into the wonderful world of corrupt third world living.

Sorry you won’t get the chance to bring it to us.
