NEW YORK CITY -- Throngs of people supporting immigrant rights took to the streets in protest Sunday, just as mass deportation plans from President-elect Donald Trump were revealed during his “60 Minutes” interview.
The marches began in Manhattan on Sunday largely to protest against Donald Trump’s presidential win, but the focus was on his immigration plans.
Demonstrators were holding signs in English and Spanish, saying things like “Hate won’t make us great.” They’re chanting, “We are here to stay.”(continued)

Illegal aliens are NOT immigrants.
Immigrants are people who applied to be Americans, paid their fees, waited their turn, learned the language and complied with the laws.
Illegal aliens broke in.
They are trespassers.
Arrest and deport, they have no right to be here.
One of the places where they are protesting is New York City, in front of Trump Tower. Don't think we'd want them to burn that down - bad precedent. That said, would love for the cops to be able to go home to their families, but at least they are getting overtime pay, and we know Mr. Trump appreciates their efforts. And we're a minoriity here, but some of us did vote for Trump - he is from here.
