Earlier this week CNN.com listed 24 different theories that pundits have provided for why Trump won. And the list isnt even complete. Ive heard other explanations as well. What does it tell you when there are 24 different explanations for a thing?
It tells you that someone just dropped a cognitive dissonance cluster bomb on the public. Heads exploded. Cognitive dissonance set in. Weird theories came out. This is the cleanest and clearest example of cognitive dissonance you will ever see. Remember it.
This phenomenon is why a year ago I told you I was putting so much emphasis on PREDICTING the outcome of the election using the Master Persuader Filter. I told you it would be easy to fit any theory to the facts AFTER the result. And sure enough, we can fit lots of theories to the facts. At least 24 of them by CNNs count.
Generally speaking, the greater the persuasion, the more cognitive dissonance you get. Trump is in my opinion the greatest persuader of my lifetime. I expected this level of cognitive dissonance. Next time you see a persuader of this magnitude, you can expect the outcome to be cognitive dissonance in that case too.
This brings me to the anti-Trump protests. The protesters look as though they are protesting Trump, but they are not. They are locked in an imaginary world and battling their own hallucinations of the future.

To me the left seems to think backwards in unison.
It’s called anal retentive.
Adams explains that one way for the protestors to deal with the contradiction they find themselves in is to believe that the people who voted for Trump know he is a monster and wanted a monster.
Another way for them to deal with it would be to believe that they were lied to by their information sources. It is harder, but gives them a way out without blaming themselves.
We should push that explanation. It also has the advantage of being true.
I keep saying they need to rail against their own crooked party too. The DNC and MSM bear much responsibility for Trump’s victory.
If they had played it honest, their side might have had a chance.
I believe Americans on both sides collectively jumped up and down screaming “Bullshit!” because of the corruption in both parties.
The GOP tried very hard to screw us over just like the DNC screwed over their base bases shoving hilzebub down their throats when the people wanted Bernie. IMO, their whole scene was crooked, Bernie was in on it and a stalking horse for hilzebub. The DNC completely sold out their base.
They can’t come to terms with their cognitive dissonance.
From what I have seen and experienced in the aftermath of Trump’s election, I would say Adams is very perceptive.
They’re incapable of playing it honest because their entire ideology is discredited, immoral and destructive. How could you “honestly” sell failure ?
It doesn’t help them, they think that they are well-informed, that they consult the best news sources, so telling them that they’ve been lied to implies that they basically are like they imagine the Fox news watchers to be, ignorant people being sucked into a propaganda vortex.
I love that he always pimps his book.
I have not read his book. I like that it is at the bottom of the post and not a pop up that blocks the screen.
His book is phenomenal. Really, one of the best books in the genre I’ve ever read.
They were lied to. They were fed push polls and in their delusion they ate them up. The reality is it was probably neck and neck the whole summer, with Trump edging away by a nose in the last 3 weeks in a few key states. Of course if you listened to CNN, MSNBC Hillary had it in the bag the whole time. In fact they were predicting she would take North Carolina which would take away an important state to Trump.
Trump supporters on the other hand were worried that the race was much too close and that there was a good chance women may break for Hillary. While we are thrilled that Trump won against a stacked system where even his own party wouldn't completely support him, I think we are all in disbelief that so many people could still vote for Clinton.
This country is sharply divided and on opposite sides of the political spectrum ( a much smaller number sit in the middle). Unless President Trump is able to convert a few million people over to the less government interference/states rights model we are still doomed as a great nation.
Trump has a solid 5 percent that will be pretty easy to convert in those that voted for Johnson.
There is another 5 percent that voted against him simply because they were brainwashed into thinking he was Hitler.
There is likely another 2 percent that he can win over from black America.
People always talk about Demographics as if voting is genetic, but it is not.
They do not talk about the changing media landscape, where the old, dominant “progressive” and now we now, colluding with the Democrat nominee, media, is hemorrhaging viewers, listeners, and readers.
“now we now” should be “now we know”
It’s a good book to keep close at hand. His explanations of ‘reality’ and how people perceive things is a real brain popper.
