I agree on Ryan. But yesterday Mitch McConnell became equally as sickening when he met with Trump and informed him that term limits are not on the table. I’ve seen your posts on the garden thread and know you’re an extremely intelligent guy and I’ve already been on my soapbox on this thread in 3 comments prior to this. Please allow me to request that you read my previous comments on this thread regarding a Constitutional Convention of States and consider getting on board with this. If you haven’t already beat me to it :)

I heard it alluded to on a radio news broadcast I was listening to. A music station not conservative talk. Something to the effect that we don't retaliate for things done in an election. While you and I know this is not about the election, the media is still giving their spin to sheeple.
The gop may soon become the Whigs of today. These get-along/go-along bums will try to screw the electorate once again. What complete useless quislings, capons, geldings and eunuchs.
Please consider getting on board in your state with a Constitutional Convention of States. It is OUR way of assisting President Trump in draining the swamp of the GoPee trash.
The Clinton’s need to be held accountable for their crimes, it has nothing to do with the election. If the Dems were so stupid to run such a flawed candidate so be it! We know the truth about the Clinton’s here, the rest of the country and world needs to see how evil they are, will go a long way to stopping the protests.

I am just fired up and pi$$ed off at McConnell and the Senate for refusing to consider term limits.
If the gope decides they want to buck Trump if I am the Don I say fine I will primary you all out and tell people who the problem is, the gope.
Some elected officials need term limits and some don’t. I don’t think term limits should be a litmus test issue with so much other work to be done. And since it requires a constitutional Amendment, who cares what McConnell thinks. It would be much more useful to repeal the 17th. That would solve the term limit issue in large part as it’s the corrupt senate that is hardest to reform.
And they did such a fine job before Trump showed up multiple ass kicking to ensue and many empty seats to be refilled.

Actually, Levin was a later-comer to this idea. I only discovered that yesterday in my research. I was like you and poopoo-ed it because hubby came home from work telling me about hearing it on Levin. I was already thru with Levin because of his trash talking Trump.
I’d studied Constitutional Amendment process back in college and knew this was “in there.” Shows how long ago i was in college. Never thought it would be relevant to my time. After reading about that dirtbag McConnell refusing to consider congressional term limits yesterday morning I went on the hunt for a way to “do something.”
We are only *guaranteed* one Trump term at this point. McConnell is not up for re-election till 2020. We have a majority in the Senate but how many are Rinos. And who is going to vote themselves out of a cushy job.
Frankly, I welcome other suggestions to this problem. Donald Trump isn’t a dictator. He’s got a great 100 day plan but Congress *IS* a problem. Draining the swamp is a catchy phrase at this point and President Trump is going to have a hard time doing it without our help. Levin is a weasel. But he’s a broke clock on this. And it wasn’t his idea, it’s still the best idea I’ve found at this point.

That was the jist of my research yesterday and I do see the wisdom in it. I have already signed on in my state to participate in the process of repealing the amendment.
Because you are way ahead of me on this, can you tell me if we have a freeper ping list for either repeal of the 17th or Constitutional Convention of States. And how likely Congress is to take up an amendment to repeal the 17th? I’m going on only 1 day of research on this. I can use guidance.
I put Paul Ryan , Lindsey Graham, Mitch McConnell and Karl Rove in the same category.
