BB, good to hear from you again. :)
No. offhand, I can’t think of any reason she need to go through Portugal. The story converges to the grand finale in modern Rome. From a plot point of view, the only other place she really needs to get to is Lucerne. The rest of the trek has more to do with the character arc.
And when this big adventure is ready for an attempt at publication, I should have a bit more time for other things. Right now, it is pretty all-consuming.
And I’ve missed you guys too. More than you know.
