It came to mind because I have seen kids drop their elderly parents in some awful place, and in many cases those kids did not have the best childhood. My family is the opposite; I have witnessed more than one generation provide the parents with the best care (preferably at home) in their declining years. But the parents never treated the children like this woman has her son. She may reap what she sows.
I’ve always said “be careful how you treat your children, because one day you’ll answer to an adult for it.”
