What if Hillary drops out or forced to drop out?
10/28/2016 | Total Vanity

Posted on 10/28/2016 3:02:42 PM PDT by Fhios

First some reckless speculation:

Did Obama turn on Hillary and insert Michelle into the race?

If Hillary drops or otherwise cannot run, what happens to the early voters for Hillary? They just can't be passed along to a new Dem candidate right?

When some moron votes for hitlery, she’s not actually voting for hitlery. She’s actually voting for a slate of demoncrap electors. So as long as all the demoncrap electors are on the same page - which they would be, they could elect whomever they choose as long as they have 270 electors.

“Those electors could come to their sense even if Hillary does not drop out or is not forced out by the Democrat National Committee and vote for someone else.”

Right, it actually shows what a good system this is. Forget the current scandals, etc. Suppose a person died or suffered a major illness right before, during or after the election (and you wouldn’t have to be a super old person for that to happen, look at Pence’s plane last night. Thank goodness everyone was OK, but the way these candidates travel night and day, anything could happen).

The electors can vote for anyone, depending on their state’s rules, but I think de facto they can really vote for anyone they please. They are indeed all party hacks, so if Hillary blew up (literally or figuratively) they’d probably vote for Kaine or Biden, not Trump or (far fetched thing I’ve heard) Romney.

But, in all honesty, I’d rather have any of those guys over Crooked Hillary and her whore-monger husband.

All of the elected electoral candidates are free agents in mid-December voting at the state capitals.

The 12th Amendment of 1804 keeps the president and v.p. from being from opposite parties.

Unless Congress says otherwise I believe the election will be on November 8.

I'd rather not say what he looks like to me.

Still breathing, unlike many of her voters.

Can’t. This is what the Clinton’s do to have money, and they’ve taken a lot of money from some very not nice people who now want delivery of things previously agreed upon.

Did you guys read the Constitution in high school?

You are not voting for the candidate. You are voting for an elector.

If Hillary bows out that elector will vote for the democrat was is anointed to take her place.

It’s all there in the Constittion.

>> “The 12th Amendment of 1804 keeps the president and v.p. from being from opposite parties.” <<

Not according to the ammendment:

Amendment XII [1804]

The Electors shall meet in their respective states and vote by ballot for President and Vice President, one of whom, at least, shall not be an inhabitant of the same state with themselves; they shall name in their ballots the person voted for as President, and in distinct ballots the person voted for as Vice-President, and they shall make distinct lists of all persons voted for as President, and of all persons voted for as Vice-President, and of the number of votes for each, which lists they shall sign and certify, and transmit sealed to the seat of the government of the United States, directed to the President of the Senate;
The President of the Senate shall, in the presence of the Senate and House of Representatives, open all the certificates and the votes shall then be counted;
The person having the greatest number of votes for President, shall be the President, if such number be a majority of the whole number of Electors appointed; and if no person have such majority, then from the persons having the highest numbers not exceeding three on the list of those voted for as President, the House of Representatives shall choose immediately, by ballot, the President.
But in choosing the President, the votes shall be taken by states, the representation from each state having one vote; a quorum for this purpose shall consist of a member or members from two-thirds of the states, and a majority of all the states shall be necessary to a choice.
And if the House of Representatives shall not choose a President whenever the right of choice shall devolve upon them before the fourth day of March next following, then the Vice President shall act as President, as in the case of the death or other constitutional disability of the President.
The person having the greatest number of votes as Vice-President, shall be the Vice-President, if such number be a majority of the whole number of Electors appointed, and if no person have a majority, then from the two highest numbers on the list, the Senate shall choose the Vice-President;
a quorum for the
purpose shall consist of two-thirds of the whole number of Senators, and a majority of the whole number shall be necessary to a choice. But no person constitutionally ineligible to the office of President shall be eligible to that of Vice-President of the United States.

Because two ballots are cast by the electors, the president and v.p. will not be of opposite parties. This cleared up earlier confusion in 1796.
