Hillary isn’t likable. She knows this. That’s why she latched onto Bill early on. She’s the brains, he’s the face. She will do much better letting her surrogates in the press speak for her than doing it herself.

I would go beyond that. Bill Clinton had charm. He knew how to soften any bad situation and bring a different prospective to a mess. Hillary? Out of a thousand possible characteristics....there’s just not much you note. She has no charm. She isn’t that bright or clever. She was never much of a lawyer. Even the idea of the Foundation....that was from outside of the circle....it wasn’t her idea.

Early Bill & Hillary joke:

Shortly after his election as President, the First Couple did a drive through rural Arkansas. Pulling into a gas station, the good old boy proprietor got up from his rocking chair to pump the gas for them. He gave a look at the new First Lady and said "Hillary Rodham? Why, I dated you in High School!" She shook his hand and said "So nice to see you again!"

As they pulled away, Bill chuckled and said to her "Shucks, bet you're glad you didn't marry him, huh?" Not batting an eye, looking straight ahead, she deadpanned, "Had I married him, he'd be President."
